On January 16, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order 414 regarding state advisory commissions that are inactive or defunct.
Specific to local government entities, the Governor's Study Commission on Discrimination in Public Works Procurement and Construction Contracts, the State Agency Coordinating Council on Local Partnerships, and the Red Tape Review Commission were eliminated. In total, 51 advisory entities were terminated.
With the inauguration of Governor Mikie Sherrill, it is within her authority to reinstate any of the advisory entities that were terminated under the previous administration.
