Starting tomorrow, the enhanced session listings will be available at the Conference website, giving elected governing body members an opportunity to start planning for their Local Government Leadership Program credits.
Elected Governing Body Members can work up three levels by attending training, seminars, writing articles for NJ Municipalities magazine, and advocating for municipal interests.
There are two training classes required to participate in the program:
- Orientation for Newly, Re-Elected, or Experienced: 5 points
- Budgeting For Newly Elected Officials: 5 points
In addition, participants choose from Core Issue Classes to attend out of the items indicated in the CEU listings in Conference session descriptions. Look for sessions of interest and then check if CEU credits include LGLP. If sessions don’t list CEU credits yet, please visit the course listing again in the weeks to come as more credits are added to the system.
Those who have previously completed LGLP levels will be recognized at the League’s Orientation session on Tuesday at the Conference.
