The U.S. Department of Treasury announced that the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) contact centers will reopen on February 21. This is helpful because municipalities will have to file their annual ARP State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Project and Expenditure reports on April 30, 2023.
In October 2022, Treasury shut down the contact centers due to budget limitations. The League, along with our federal partner, the National League of Cities, fought hard to get funding for the contact centers into the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, also known as the Omnibus bill.
For faster service, Treasury continues to encourage recipients to use Treasury's Self-Service Resources as the first step for all questions and inquiries. If questions cannot be resolved through these Self-Service Resources, recipients may reach out to the Contact Center for questions related to recovery programs as follows starting on February 21:
