FCC IGA Office Holds Quarterly Call

The Federal Communications Commission Office of Intergovernmental Affairs held the regularly scheduled quarterly call last week. The agenda items included: 

  • Proposed changes to modernize and simplify slamming and Truth-in-Billing rules.  
  • Protection from unauthorized changes to phone services and unrequested charges.  
  • Enhancements to 911 services, including Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM’s Act. 
  • The transition to text-to-911 and Next Generation 911 services. 
  • Support for transitioning from copper phone lines to advanced technologies. 
  • Efforts to modernize communication systems for better internet and phone services.
