On Wednesday, the House by a vote of 341-82, and the Senate by a vote of 78-18 passed HR.9747, a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government at current budgetary levels through December 20.
The legislation also extends several programs that were set to expire including the National Flood Insurance Program, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, and Department of Homeland Security National Cybersecurity Protection System.
President Biden signed the bill. The federal fiscal year ends on September 30, without an agreement, there would have been a shutdown.
