The State Health Benefits Program Plan Design Committee (PDC) met for its regularly scheduled meeting on August 23.
The PDC approved Resolution 2023-11 for New Jersey Direct High Deductible Low Resolution to ensure IRS compliance with minimum deductibles and indexing so they are not issues in the future, and Resolution 2023-12 that renames one of the programs the New Jersey Direct High Deductible High Resolution.
The super conciliation update noted that the First Responder Title issue would be discussed at the September meeting. The Reference Based Pricing subgroup is scheduled to meet next week and the pharmaceutical subgroup is in the process of scheduling a meeting.
As we previously reported from last month’s meeting, a Heath Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) subgroup was established to discuss the cards that are utilized by local governments that are employer-funded and employees are reimbursed tax-free for qualified expenses up to a fixed dollar amount.
The next PDC meeting is scheduled for September 27.
