The State Health Benefits Commission (SHBC) is set to meet today. And it is likely that the FY26 rate renewal numbers will be adopted, so Treasury can finalize the open enrollment process.
The League recently posted updates on the Plan Design Committee’s proposals for cost savings and the actuary’s (AON) review and scoring of the cost proposals presented. In addition, the League provided an update concerning the Plan Design Committee’s advancement of the FY26 plan resolutions from their August 27 meeting.
As a reminder, the Plan Design committee has until September 30 to meet and vote on each proposal that AON determines will result in recurring and actuarially verifiable cost savings. If the Plan Design Committee is unable to reach an agreement, it immediately begins mediation.
Once the meeting has concluded, the League will provide updates.
