HMFA Proposed New UHAC Regulations

Pursuant to  P.L. 2024, c. 2, (A-4), the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJ-HMFA) has approved for publication the proposed 2025 Uniform Housing Affordability Controls (UHAC) regulations. This follows the adoption of emergency regulations last year.

The new rules will be published in the July issue of the New Jersey Register, and a 60-day comment period will then commence consistent with the Administrative Procedures Act.

The agency requested the League bring to your attention an FAQ on the rule proposal, which has been posted on its website. 

The League is reviewing the rule proposal and will provide comments to the agency.
