The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) announces the Pre-Apprenticeship in Career Education (PACE) Program – Round 2. This grant program offers a total funding amount of $4,000,000 and aims to support pre-apprenticeship initiatives that prepare individuals for success in Registered Apprenticeship programs. These initiatives combine industry-based training with classroom instruction to expand career pathways and drive economic development. A partnership with a Registered Apprenticeship sponsor who is committed to hiring participants within 18 months of the contract’s start is required.
Eligible entities include municipalities, New Jersey employers, workforce intermediaries, trade associations, labor organizations, educational institutions, community organizations, and government entities. Applications must be submitted by noon on April 17, with the deadline for letters of intent set for April 10, also by noon.
