NJDOL Enhances Portal for Fair Wage Transparency & Compliance

The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) recently added a New Jersey Certified Payroll Database, to its New Jersey Wage Hub. This data based allows for certified payroll records submitted by public work contractors to be available to the public in accordance with P.L. 2023, C. 138.

The New Jersey Wage Hub also allows for business entities that perform “qualifying services” or businesses that provide services to the State or its agencies beyond public work, to submit their annual Diane B. Allen Equal Pay Act reports online.

Starting August 16, 2024, contractors engaged in public work projects must submit their certified payroll records through the New Jersey Wage Hub. Submission of certified payroll records to NJ Wage Hub will satisfy the requirement to submit them to a public body if the public body is also using NJ Wage Hub.

The New Jersey Wage Hub enables public bodies to submit project and contract information, view and download certified payroll records submitted by contractors and subcontractors, and easily identify missing or invalid information reported by contractors and subcontractors.
