The Mayor Wellness Campaign is hosting two virtual training courses for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), one for Adult Mental Health First Aid Training and the other Youth Mental Health First Aid Training.
As part of its Mental Health Initiative, supported by The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey, the Mayors Wellness Campaign has two upcoming virtual Mental Health First Aid trainings. The trainings sessions will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The training helps identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.
The Adult MHFA Training will be held on September 28. The training will cover common signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance use, how to interact with a person in crisis, and how to help connect the person with help.
The Youth MHFA Training will be held on October 19. The training will cover common signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance use, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to help connect the person with help, and better understand trauma, substance use, self-care, and the impact of social media and bullying.
