Appropriation Cap Workbook Available

The Division of Local Government Services has updated the Levy Cap workbook to include the appropriation cap exemptions granted at the February 8 Local Finance Board meeting.

As we reported last week, the Local Finance Board unanimously approved exceptions to the appropriation cap. The Local Finance Board granted appropriation cap exemptions for increases above 3.5% of the previous year for garbage collection and disposal; recycling costs; PERS and PFRS pension contributions; Workers Compensation Insurance; and Health Insurance. The Levy Cap workbook has been updated to include tabs for the new appropriation cap exemption.
