Today, the New Jersey Supreme Court issued an Order that allows municipal court sessions to resume, to the extent possible based on facilities, technology, and other resources. Municipal court sessions had been suspended through April 26, 2020, consistent with a March 27, 2020, order issued in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today’s order authorizes municipal court session to be conducted starting April 27, 2020, with the consent of all parties, and effective May 11, 2020, all sessions can proceed but only with virtual (video or phone) format.
