The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering a FY25 grant opportunity, Mentoring for Youth Affected by Opioid and Other Substance Use, to help municipalities and community-based organizations expand mentoring programs that support youth impacted by substance use through personal experience, family exposure, or community trauma.
This funding enables local governments to launch or enhance trauma-informed, evidence-based mentoring initiatives, partner with schools and public health agencies, reduce juvenile justice involvement, and support families navigating addiction. Eligible applicants include local governments, and nonprofits. Applications are due by October 30 (Grants.gov deadline: October 23).
Full details and application instructions are available on OJJDP’s official website.
