As previously reported, on July 21, the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA) published the proposed 2025 Uniform Housing Affordability Controls (UHAC) regulations. The new proposed rules followed the adoption of emergency regulations in 2024 and introduced key changes for the “Fourth Round” of affordable housing.
Publication of the new rules was followed by a 60-day comment period, which closed on September 19. After collaboration with experts on Affordable Housing, the League submitted comments to HMFA.
