The Division of Pensions and Benefits has posted the Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) local employer billing for the Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) and Police and Firemen’s Retirement System (PFRS).
The 2025 PERS employer billing and 2025 PFRS employer billing provide a breakdown by municipality. Also available is a comparison of billing between 2024 and 2025 for both PERS and PFRS billings.
The rate increase of PERS is 17.11% and PFRS is 37%. As a reminder, the annual appropriation bills are based on the second calendar quarter report of contributions. For example, the bills due April 1, 2013, are based on the March 31, 2011, report of contributions (two-year lag). The salaries are annualized, and then multiplied by the applicable rates.
