The Division of Local Government Services has issued Local Finance Notice 2024-08, providing guidance on filing the 2024 Financial Disclosure Statements for local government officers. The Local Finance Notice outlines the filing procedures and contains step-by-step instructions for successfully filing the financial disclosure statement using the online process.
Financial Disclosure Statements (FDS) must be filed annually on or before April 30. In addition, once the annual filing deadline has passed, new local government officers must file their FDS within 30 days of taking office.
Please note that the Local Finance Board may issue violations for non-filers or those who omit required information. The violation is personal to the Local Government Officer and is no less than $100 nor more than $500.
