Local Finance Notice 2021-06: Transitional Aid Application Process

On March 3, The Division of Local Government Services released Local Finance Notice 2021-06, addressing the Transitional Aid Application Process. Municipalities that which intends to apply for CY 2021 Transitional Aid to Localities must notify the Department of Local Government Services no later than March 15, with a Notice of Intent to Apply via email to dlgs@dca.nj.gov .

Division Issues Guidance on Coronavirus Relief Bond Law

The Division of Local Government Services (DLGS) has issued Local Finance Notice 2020-24, providing guidance on P.L. 2020, c. 74, which allows municipalities and counties to issue special emergency appropriation for the loss of revenue and/or unanticipated expenses directly attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to this, the law also permits the DLGS Director to issue guidance on the calculation of anticipated revenue for the 2021 budget year.
