New Jersey Apportionment Commission Adopts Legislative Map

On Friday, February 18, the New Jersey Apportionment Commission adopted a legislative map for the next decade with a 9-2 vote with Commissioners Cirillo and Kean voting no. This is the first time since the establishment of the Apportionment Commission where the chief justice appointed tie-breaker did not have to choose one map over the other.

Apportionment Commission Releases Proposed Maps

The New Jersey Apportionment Commission released two maps for public comment in advance of Wednesday evening’s final Apportionment Commission hearing. It is likely there will be further changes and there is no guarantee that either of the maps will be selected as the final map.
