A few weeks ago, the Biden Administration released the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Guidebook. League staff reviewed the 465-page document and produced a condensed version that focuses on programs where funding is available to municipalities. In a separate spreadsheet, those same programs are broken down by category, type of project (i.e. planning, line replacement, design), and next milestone to provide you with a means to search for funding opportunities for your town.
The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, provides investments in broadband, rail and transit, clean energy, and water. It allocates funding to over 350 distinct programs across more than a dozen federal departments and agencies, including bringing high-speed internet to every American, replacing lead service lines to bring clean water to homes, and repairing thousands of roads and bridges.
When funding opportunities are announced, the League will post notices on our social media channels, on the Town Crier blog, and include them in the Weekly Round-Up. Please monitor these platforms for important information.
